just a suggestion before i sign off for the night... why not swap christmas day and boxing day around? that way you could have your boxing day hangover and bloated feeling out of the way for a nice relaxed christmas day........why hasn't anyone thought of this before?

I never buy or make cards with Father Christmas on. Though of course he comes to my house every year without fail. I love singing christmas carols and much as I don't really want them in October, come December I am a carol junkie!

I can't quite bring myself to put them up until December - outside ones that is. But the tree has to go up on Christmas eve. Parental hangover, long story about too many kids and lots of mess!....

Christmas? I'll do without the whole load of farcical bunkum! Lets get it banned. At least the Christians can get back to their celibration, and we can get rid of all the buying for the sake of buying.

Wait until AFTER Christmas before banning it please, Bloke wants a tomtom sat nav from Father Christmas and will be very upset if he doesn't get one Oh and if anyone can tell me what the heck a tomtom sat nav IS, I would be grateful

I buy for the sake of scoffing and drinking until I fall down in a pool of my own vomit.

As a veggie, Chop, what do you have for your 'traditional' Christmas dinner? He seems like a nut roast type of guy to me! With strange sprout receipes up his sleeve! ;D

Well he might need his nuts roasting, but that doesn't mean he has to eat them!

A friend of mine served Christmas dinner on Christmas eve when her kids where little, because they were so full up with chocolate and sweets they never ate any of it,Christmas dinner on Christmas day consisted of turkey and chips ect ,and things done at a more leisurely pace to open presents and enjoy the day itself, wouldn't work in our house,i'de have to cook three then ,eve, day and boxing day.

My gran used to go round to a friend's for Christmas dinner. They were veggies. The son would spend all day Christmas eve turning the nut roast into a turkey shape.
