How could Dad's Army win? The last few series were nothing more that farces and catch-phrases. It had lost a lot of its wit and charm. Yes Minister/Prime Minister apart from being so well written and played, gave more insight into the workings of parliament and all those who worked (?) in there. Not once did the writing standards drop just to gain more viewers. Red Dwarf on the other hand was just stupid. I couldn't separate these two favourites, so I tossed a coin to vote. Red Dwarf was brilliant. It still is.
