Normal, boring, day today, just catching up with housework and getting ready for Christmas proper to begin.

New years day looms. What is a LOOM and can you use it without the "S" on the end? I don't like not knowing or being on the end of a con.

Now don't forget, the clocks alter on Sunday, an extra hour in bed before we once again go out into the rain.

Not wanting to quibble, but I think you'll find the clocks go FORWARD on Sunday, depriving you of an hour's sleep, Late Afternoon!

Nitpicking are we LucyQuipment? If you take another look you will see I wrote the clocks alter, at no point did I write the clocks go back. If I want to lay in bed an extra hour and encourage other to do the same well, I jolly well will............. No matter how I try to wiggle out of this I still cant hide the fact that I made a mistake. SPRING FARWARD FALL BACK. A senor moment, can I ever be forgiven.

Nit-picking? Moi? Not not-picking, I just wanted to make sure you didn't miss any of Terry's show this morning, Late Afternoon, by sleeping in ;D

Nothing blue has appeared in our skies for what seems an age. I will remember 2010 as the year that Autumn arrived just as Wimbledon ended.Candy floss absent. Ice Cream sellers in liquidation. Pacamac makers lounging on Bermuda beaches. The Manchester Ship Canal capable of mooring the US Sixth Fleet. Rain Rain Wind Mist Cold and yes.....more rain.

Nice to see we're in the same boat - maybe the sales of amphibian cars will pick up - they could decorate them with aquatic themes such as shags, terns, tadpoles and such. I fancy a serene swan.

Night-times now getting cold. Each morning I am expecting to see that Jack Frost has decided to make an early return.

Now that the Grantown show has been and gone, it feels like a slide into winter here, though so far we've had no snow - only rain

No Indian Summer this year then. Nor any hint of one. We bought nice new garden furniture in June so as to spend nice Summer evenings on the patio. Some of it is still in polythene. Some of it I am about to move into the loft..where I suspect that for the next 7 months it will remain.
