I wondered if it was Spanish days of the week and then the last one should be D but then I remembered it would have been
L M M J V S D
not
L M X J V S D
So I'm still stuck - still I'll keep thinking

Actually, you're right Annie. They are the days of the week. I am VERY impressed. The reason they use X for miercoles (Wednesday) is because they've already used M for martes (Tuesday) and therefore it stops any confusion or misunderstanding.
Your turn to come up with one now.
Luv, MMP! XX

Are we back to "all our yesterdays" ? there was a time when half a crown got you the best seat in the pictures and a bag of chips on the way home. I could murder a bag of chips now.

half a crown, 2/6 or 12.5p in modern money. That was my pocket money. Jamboree Bag, copy of the Dandy, sherbert fountain and some blackjacks. And we used to get 6d back on R Whites lemonade bottles! (then snuck round the back of the shop to pilfer a few more empties!!!)
