Horsetail have very deep roots, several feet long, we persevered and got rid of them in the end. Wish I could say the same about the bindweed.

Hi Fi Thanks for the link I did not know what horsetail looked like. Very pretty I thought! As some of you have said a real pain. I don't think we have it here in the Midlands but I would not be certain on that! Love TT xxxx

It is commonest in damp areas, and as far as I am aware, there are no areas where it (or one species at least, because there are several) can't be found: though I stand to be corrected on that.

As a kid I would pull it up and seperate the segments and throw them around - 'til my Dad caught me that was Later in life it was Pony Tails that took my attention
