Does anybody have a really good flapjack recipe?
I like my flapjack to be still softish when golden, not fit to break your teeth, but not so dense that it sticks to the roof of your mouth like the manufactured ones.
As I am naughty about finding time to eat, I would also like it if you could also add nuts and seeds and things, so that I could have something healthy to shove in my mouth between patients.
Oops now some clever clogs is going to accuse me of eating my patients!!!!
Anyway, I realise I am asking a lot but does anyone have a foolproof recipe??

Hi!
Mine is oh-so-simple, and I throw in dates, nuts, seeds - really whatever is needing to be used up! (I give left over tripe a miss tho')
I put 75g. syrup, 75 sugar and 150 marg in a pan or microwave bowl to melt, throw in 125 g oats, any nuts, seeds, cherries, dates etc, then to tray and bake for 25 minutes or so at 175.
Really is foolproof - I should know!
This makes a chewy flapjack.
Enjoy!

Already tried it Nutella Certainly promising but it was so soft it did not hold together, and I ate the leftovers in the tray with a spoon. I think I did not cook it long enough but then I have this horrible new Zanussi that either burns everything or you have to keep turning the tins round every 15 mins. So I was loath to overcook it. My friend wouldn't stop eating it though, so i am going to try it again this week, maybe with Vnus's idea of some honey,as it was a little sweet for me, and your right, I am going to lose the tripe!!!
