Many thanks to all who sent messages about this morning's show. I now have dad's bit.
My father used to go to funerals and give them marks out of ten. No pressure there then. I am doing my best to ensure that I don't let him down. A friend of mine, a priest, is going to be mc at the funeral. He reckons that there will not be a dry eye in the house. Sounds good to me........ I'm aiming for an eleven!

At 1030 this morning, dad passed away very peacefully. I was by his side, holding his hand. I've lost my father, my best friend and my first love. Nothing now can ever come to any good. T xxx From what you say about him Fay, You will always have all the good memories of your relationship with him towarm your thoughts when all seems cold and bleak

So sorry to hear about the passing our friend. May those who were specially close to him be comforted in their sorrow and may they have many, many happy memories to remind them of such a great friend. And we, who never knew him, will miss him via his many posts. May God bless all who mourn and may we all remember with joy our friend.

Tracy, my Dear Old Thing.
I am very saddened to hear the news of Stewart's passing.
He truly was the curmudgeon's curmudgeon, one to whom most of us could only aspire.
Condolences and warmest regards to you and to all the Eglin family.
