I once knew a girl called April With looks to beguile and enthrall, Who was full of vim and compliance After assembly in the school hall.
I once knew a girl called April A maid who could turn young lads' heads. Who'd show her skill at osculatance If you took her behind the bike sheds.
I once knew a girl called April With whom a lot came to pass, Exploring the laws of congruence At the back of the geometry class.
I once knew a girl called April. A braw and bonnie wee lass Who exhibited lowered resistance At the back of the technology class.
I once knew a girl called April Bereft of all signs of flab, Who taught me about procreatance At the back of the biology lab.
I once knew a girl called April Who was indulgent to my every whim Doing press-ups with aerobic exuberance On a mat at the back of the gym.
I once knew a girl called April Who with gadgets would joyfully play. We shared the appliance of science. But that's a story for some other day. (I found an old printout of this while spring cleaning. It seemed appropriate for this time of year. OK, I know there is at least one word in it that is hard to find in basic dictionaries. But hey, Chaucer and Shakespeare made up words so why shouldn't I?)

Oh Crooky, that is just brilliant! I only wish I knew someone called April that I could show it too!
