Been a while since I heard from Flower but Trippy is alive and well and we're still in touch. All grown up now, of course . . .

I am a TOG! I can't remember my first bash..........but Pitlochry will forever be my favourite! that was the culmination of a wonderful holiday in Scotland where I met Scottish Togs galor! Slept on Rhea's settee (or was it the floor?), had a whole bed to myself at Frozzy's and Fi's, met a strange woman at one stage who thrust her bosom in my face and said 'Are you Fanny?'........wonder who that was? Boat of Garten with Ent & Bea. Ended up at Pitlochry eating burnt sausages and carted home what felt like half of Ben Nevis (Sharon). She's made it to Spain by the way and is sitting in splendour guarding my gate and surrounded by plants! What a holiday...........and Lucy, you didn't need much persuasion at all! *wanders off in happy daydreams*

I remember Fi's wee willie winky outfit at Durham - she'd come to remonstrate with some people who were unaccountably holding a very loud party in our room! Ah memories... Oh do get it right Den - I'd come to escape the awful noise in my room - Liverpool Lou's snores. Compared to that, the party was like a bunch of monks and nun's who had taken a vow of silence.

We were next door to you but all I could hear was the twangs of those bed springs as PMQ tossed and turned.
Didn't think beds that antiquated were still used - until we went to Durrum!

My first time was last year in Embra. I was as nervous as a kitten, but thanks to everyone - Rhea and Daxie in particular - I was made to feel very welcome. As a tactile Tog, I was thrilled that Toggy *hugs* are not only of the virtual variety! My penthouse apartment was amazing.

My first bash was the very first Embra one, where Joyce Tick offered me a bed (for the night having only spoken to me a couple of times in the CR.) much to the consternation of her work colleagues who were absolutely appalled. Mind you she lived to tell the tale.
Rhea - was the other lady Joyce's friend Ida Hoe? just been looking at the piccy of it again.
Eggy - pm me and we'll try and sort out another Montrose Bash.
My lasting memories of Durham are of the Friday night - seeing the video produced by Anton and realising that yes the Friday night was probably better forgotten. - My other lasting memory of Durham are of Willy Gofar in the white tights.

My first bash was Windsor (2003?) when I finally plucked up courage to go out and meet some Togs...and when Ma Mite offered a lift there was no getting out of it! Was hilarious as she met us at Twickenham station and stuck a jar of Marmite out of the window! She had BIG TEEF and we* didn't say a word...only realised when we walked in the Royal Oak and Ivy and Nick fell over laffing!!!
*I was so nervous I roped in a girl I worked with!
Have met a few since and hope to meet many more...have finally put name down for the convention next year!

St Andrews was mine - I was talked into going by Dawn Onmisoon in the whatever the chatroom was called before it was the chatroom (whatever happened to FlowerPot Man?). We were all on Ava's bed being photographed (strict decorum you understand) when the moth struck Ah memories... Ah! I remember it well......

Whatever happened to Willie Gofar? How could I have forgotten his tights?? Why is it that other people seem to think that smiles and laughter are against the law? Are they frightened that they'll be carted off to the un-funny farm if they do?

Having met a few TOGs individually, I somehow got persuaded to organise a bash in Embra in Nov 1999. We decided that we daren't invite any men, as you couldn't be sure about men who used the internet..... so 12 ladies met in a pub near Waverly Station on the afternoon of 6th November.
And, as they say, the rest is history!
I have a picture of some of the participants, but can't put it on here! But present were: Bea Gorrah, Laur ' o 'Land, Roobarb, Joyce Tick, Frozzy, Dibley, Kath O'Dray, Ginny Pig, Sal Acious, Sister Ger, one other whose name I can't remember and two fellahs who had better remain nonnymouse for their own sanity!
I can't remember getting home though! I remember getting you home though, much to your daughter's disgust!! That was the weekend that Welsh Anorak and I were very discreetly holding hands under the table, trying to keep our blossoming romance under wraps. Except someone yelled across the pub "ARE YOU TO TOGETHER THEN? LOOK, THEY'RE HOLDING HANDS!!!!" Hmmm, subtle. And remember Sal's birthday party, when Bea couldn't keep her eyes off NT? How romantic!!

Told you I'd had a bit too much red wine - lol
