Can Harry Kill Voldemort and live? will Voldemort find all the Horcruxes he needs to come back to full life? At least this year teachers will have a lot longer than a weekend to read the book! I recall Bsmirched spending some very late nights making sure it was finished before school on monday and some whippersnapper blurted out the entire story!

I have read these books many times, everytime a new one comes out i read it to the detriment of everything else. but it's not the only childhood book i keep re reading, i love Little Women and Anne Frank, the Secret Garden and many others. Now i'm also enjoying getting the books for my neices and nephews i enjoyed in my childhood and passing the enjoyment along. I am the same and have read and re read those books you mentioned.

I am in agreement with what has been said about the re-awakening of the art of reading.
I took my teenagers, at their request, plus a couple of their friends, to Tesco at midnight on the night the 6th book was released. Normally I decry parents that take their kids out late at night but tht night the store was buzzing with kids and parents all there just for the book (possibly the odd bar of chocolate).
Fantastic !!
I love reading kids literature, the stories cover such a broad area compared to the goody goody kids in most of the books I read as a child, be it Enid Blyton, Noel Streatfield or any of the others. However, I also thought Alice had attitude! But the books written for Kids today are amazig and also I liked to know just what sort of thing they were reading. You have to keep up with your kids, beleive me!

I love these books. I have pre ordered my book and will be up to get them. they are escapism pure and simple. The last book I got after coming out of hospital the day before after having my gall bladder out and read in two days. The scariest moment was when I fell asleep reading about Voldemort returning in the hall of philosophy I awoke in the middle of a thunderstorm screaming Voldermorts back. My boyfriend gave me a very strange look turned over and went back to sleep. Hehe. I think if a child reads this and moves onto the beautiful remains of the day in time and further and further and realises taht with books you can use your imagination instead of sitting in a cinema and letting them do it for youit can only be a good thing.
Incidentally when asked if I want the adults or the kids cover (for the unitiated there are two so the adults who don't want to admit to it can look like they are reading an 'adult book' I always have the kids one. I'm out and I am proud.
Theories I think the scar on harry's forhead dissapears as she has said that the word scar was the last word and now it is near the end but the last word is gone. I don't know how or why.
I also think snape will turn out to be a goodie

Due to other commitments, I couldn't read it much over the weekend, so I finished it today at 2am!
I loved it....... mostly.
I will re-read it...... eventually.
And when the CD is available........ I'll listen to it. Stephen Fry is the perfect story teller.
