It's remotely possible we might be able to put in an appearance as Derby isn't too far from us either.

Right my turn have been threatening this for ages. Derby Bash. Lots of B and Bs and good beer. Starting at lunch time? Looking at the Calendar theres nowt booked yet for October How about the Saturday 4th October. I would go for meeting in the Royal Standard which is the pub with all the beers..... *whispers* I can put up two or three of you if two of you don't mind sharing....a double....I can put up 5 or six of you if some of you want to share a reclining sofa....I can put up 8 of you if two want to go on the two sofa beds in the garage but given its October I wouldn't advise it. Anyhoo thats all the thinking I've done so far. Let me know if you are interested. Miss D See above

Hi Having made a partial recovery from Guateleicester, the good Lady Jane is back on her feet again and ready for another bash. Derby is approx 50 mins away Have you any directions or details that you can send to us (i.e. is it a meal or just a drink and a sing song?) Hope to hear from you. Love L&LE

We are thinking again about staying over on the 4th rather than driving home if it is still on. Does the royal Standard have accomadation? is there a Pub/Hotel/B&B nearby that does?
I'd hate to sit in a pub with numerous real ales all night and drink fizzy pops cos I'm driving!
Any advice would be useful Lord Elpuss

I did type something and er then got distracted and went and did something else and lost it.......anyway......http://www.beer-pages.com/protz/features/royal-standard.htm is a link with a wee bit of info on the pub. Gives you an idea. It does serve food along with the best chips in the world and you can chose paninis/baguettes or more substantial food if required. I suggest we convene there about 1pm and see where the wind takes us from there. There is a courtyard if its nice. In the evening for those who are still standing there is a nice pub called the flower pot five minutes walk up the road which does real ale and live music although I will check whats playing to ensure its nothing dull like rave. Alternatively there is a real ale pub in the village I live in we could repair to particularly if those b and bing stayed at www.hiltonhousehotel.co.uk/ which is a proper old style hotel. And then if we decided to have an after party party we could have it at our house. Hope this helps PM for more details. MDP
