On Steve Wright's show Paul Gambo said the single had NO CHANCE whatsoever of making Christmas No1. What better incentive could their be, other than helping Pudsey of course. Love to prove Gambo wrong. Much as I would love Gambo to be wrong, we have to face facts. The X Factor single sold over 100,000 in just one day on Sunday, and presumably is still selling like hotcakes, whereas LDB sold around 30,000 over the whole of last week. The odds are stacked against us. On the other hand, there are meant to be 8 million TOGS out there. Surely they all want their own copy of LDB.......... Jay

Jay It does seem to be the download versus the shop purchase. BUT, we never say never. I know Sir Terry and Aled are delighted with the interest so far and CIN are speechless at what we have managed to do this time! H x

It got in the charts and plugged the album which is BRILLIANT (pity the poor stuffing/packing elves though ) If it doesn't get to number 1 does it really matter? I think Hells, Tude, Terry, Aled and all those involved deserve a big pat on the back ! (I DO think it deserves to get to number 1, it's much better than the commercial rubbish ! )

Well, it is number one on the singles charts of HMV. That's probably because they've heard that the Nun will get them if they dare to say anything else! ;D

Well, it is number one on the singles charts of HMV. Fantastic news! Even if it doesn't make it to the overall number one, we can still say it reached the top of one chart. Meanwhile, who was it who had the brilliant idea of sabotaging X Factor by releasing the other version of Hallelujah? Must have been a closet TOG. Divide and rule! ;D Jay

Ah well, maybe next year we can get Terry and Aled to audition for X Factor, then they'd have more chance of the Christmas number 1!
Still, at least it's raised a heap of money for a damned fine cause, which is more than can be said for wotsername who's only raised a heap of money for Simon Cowell ;D

:'(Only No.13 I know we couldn't beat the singing competition winner as Mr tight trousers orders 100,000 downloads out of the publicity budget the day after the final (when did he buy the rights for singing and talent competitions off Butlins anyway) But a little more support from the BBC might have helped Mr vine playing the wrong version wasn't very helpful and did radio1 play it at-all? Well its still my Christmas No.1 and the others wont get any time on my stereo, well maybe Geraldine will but definitely no-one else ;D I feel better now ;D

No tears but celebrations for getting as far as it did, a fantastic effort from everyone and it has sold beyond expectations and for that everyone should be proud, fantastic efforts from Sir Terry, Ahled, Hells, Tude, Chris Evans and all involved i've not mentioned, also for the packing elves AS they've also been busy....!
Fantastic and the only way is up.....maybe not this year but another year is on it's way and you never know.....
