for the Easter Break. Anyone fancy linking up on Easter Saturday? We are going away with the caravan and stopping south of Brum, but would be easily swayed into coming up to Brum to meet.
If yes please let me know on here.
We are staying just south of Brum actually (about 15 miles at Chapel Lane CC site at Wythall) and if interested would supply details of pub which is near by if that would help or be better.
It would be really nice to repeat last year's Easter Bash if possible so please do come if you can.

That's where Deadly is from and strangley enough there is a transport museum next to your Caravan site (I wonder if that's where he got his routemaster from). A good location for getting too (stones throw from Jct 3 M42) and plenty of country boozers ;D BTW It's not Brum, it's Worcestershire

Well spotted Phil now can you advise the BBC that not everywhere in a 50 mile radius of Brum is actually part of Brum.
In Candy's defence she does say [in the body of the post] that they are staying Sth of Brum but could be persuaded to travel in.
'The Peacock' near there used to be quite good though it is some years since last I was there.
I think we are undergoing an Hibernia invasion that weekend.

mmmmm, we could p'raps come along in the Max n Paddy! ;D That would be fab. On a fab suggestion I think I am going to ask peeps to come out to Wythall rather than come into brum as apparently it is very lovely where we will be staying. Who knows maybe we could encourage Deadly out to play??
Please note the idea of Wythall itself if you would like to come and if there is a huge response saying it's not practical, then I will of course look to change it.

Then there is the 'Green Dragon' at Sambourne which is not that far away and was always very welcoming.

OK - have done some research. The local pub nearest to us at Wythall will be:
The Horse & Jockey - which is: "conveniently located just two minutes drive from Junction 3 of the M42 motorway. The bar and restaurant were fully refurbished in September 2008 and the indoor Wacky Warehouse in October of the same year".
It is a wacky warehouse but that should just mean tygs are allowed. Not sure about dogs but if they serve food maybe not.
Postcode is B47 6DB if you want to look it up.
Please can you let me know if you would be interested in coming? If this venue means it will be difficult for peeps to come, then please say so and we can always come into Brum itself if need be or arrange something.
Ta.

The Pub is OK if my cousin's comments are anything to go by - they live just a few hundred yards away.
It is handy to get to from the M40 the M42 and not far from the M5 to boot.

Depending what else is on I may well be able to drive up there.
I might have come up and camped, but the site is now fully booked over Easter - my own fault, I should have thought of it earlier!

Glen I have details of various CL's or alternatively might you be able to google Camping & Caravan club CL's? Might be able to accommodate a small tent on our pitch for a night - sometimes the CC let you do that. Would be lovely to see you if you can get.

Thanks Candy. Unfortunately as things have worked out Saints are playing the European Challenge Cup quarter final match at home on Easter Saturday so I'll have to miss out on the Bash.
Shame as I would definitiely hae come up for the day at least otherwise!
