Sita, great as ever. Poppy, you are a new shining limerick star.Keep 'em coming. I've just written one but it ended up with six lines. It's a response to Nuala's Ode to Carrots so I parked it there. Why thank you Adam, (worries just where he has parked his carrots)

Not to steal anyone's thunder But I couldn't help but wonder If I can join in And write, on a whim Though I don't mean to pry, steal or plunder.
You see, I started a thread on the Games Board For Limericks, of my own accord And if you'd like to see Just how much fun it can be Don't hesitate, just hop onboard!

Nat West, you are always free To write what you want us to see - Join in any time, And give us a rhyme Or just have a whim on me! Poor Adam, his card has been marked For Poppy is decidedly carked - She fears for his morals As he rests on his laurels - Is this where his carrots are parked?! Carked as in the archaic form meaning worried - not slang for clapped out!!! ;D

The 'carked' word is certainly apt And I'm happy my worries have been capped We are safe on these boards With Reverends and Lords To save our morals and that is a fact loving all this - Poppy xx

Thanks for your comments Adam and well done everyone, also it's good to have you on board Nat. Now for a few more.
Darth had his luggage well searched As on a big suitcase he perched With everything taken out And strewn all about No wonder it was mostly Besmirched
Leigh[Luther Plot] made some passes To all of the passing young lasses He took one to a cave Where he was really brave Then got nobbled by Rose Tinted Glasses
Now Tiglet was put on the spot When a stranger was taking a shot She thought that's rather stupid Then out of nowhere came Cupid And she ended up marrying Carl Ott.
Peek went out for a nightly drive And found herself outside a dive The Doorman said come And have you some fun But Peek said, "I'll only Take 5.

Love Nuala
I'm off now to read Adam's response to my carrot and that's where I'll put my 'Let's Hear it For the Onion' xx

Now Pussycat is a little dapple With anyone she'll have a grapple Her master was bold But when he tried to scold She'd scratch his Adam Zappel
Weather Beaten old Windbag Went out with a bit of a lag He took her for a ride Then left her to hide Donny Boy had to calm the old wag
Toby Bjorn the man made of metal Went out for a walk with Rose Petal He bought her a gold band Placed it on her left hand Now the man of steels had to settle
Emma Nemms new car had a rev counter But the needle was such a big Bounter With the shiny new dashboard Rev. said,"She's just over awed I'll just have to go home and mount her.
L.B.Cs car had dodgy wipers And he just did'nt see Nesta Vipers He caught her head on And he thought she was gone But she got up and held on to his diapers
Obe One on his Motor Bike posed Till he came to a sign, Elaine Closed Kiwi Girl in her leathers Was stood strutting her feathers While Cybertog lay there and dozed
The day was Sir Blimely Windy Buxie was jumping around just like Cindy Truly Scrumpteous stood there In her see through underwear And Fi thought she'd seen Mork and Mindy
In the Marina there was a Maud Craft Who looked like shed come in on a raft On one of his passes JP Blackbird dropped masses Down her back and boy did she look daft
Rob Anybody has a brain un surpassed When it comes to replies can't be passed But his friend young Nat West Can put him to the test Thats why I left them until last.

Adam you are worth every mention you get. Regards John Lou, From you, I take that as a real compliment. Best regards, Adam (I have other names but I need to remain an international man of mystery, Prussian nobleman, manufacturer of Zappelins and retired dancer - with my dear partner Betty Dropsit!)

An engineer named Christopher Hind, To support public transport, designed A jet for the masses That harnessed the gasses Of his amazing pneumatic behind. ;D Gilmartin, the town's local plod, Keeps sleeping, the lazy old sod! The crime rate is soaring Whilst 'Bobby' is snoring! Can't somebody give him a prod?!

Wonderful stuff, Sita and Poppy
Today, I am mostly doing Leeks. Once again, I couldn't stick to five lines so I'm sitting among the carrots, beans and onions. (Visitors very welcome in Nuala's kitchen garden, I understand)

"Will you come with me out Dancing, after tea, " said Adam Z To one known as Betty Dropsit, you can sit upon my knee "Now what would Mr. Dropsit say, or even Mrs. Zappel When they think we've only gone to practice singing at the chapel" Said Betty, as she ordered them another cupof tea.
Sorry Betty, I just realised I had missed you out and I thought I would pair you with the great [Z] .

Great Lou, my head is now too big to fit through the door.
It's always good to be associated with that great dancer, Betty Dropsit. Last time we danced, she guided me into the path of a gyrating Aled Jones. Luckily, Bruce Forsyth was there to rescue me from a fate worse than death.
The doctors said that my left leg will never be the same again (sob!)
We didn't win, either!
