I had a parcel last week, but couldn't find any bacon to wrap round it.... I had bacon but no parcel .....*sigh* It was a really exciting parcel! it had a telephone circuit board in it! I was so excited, I nealy wet meself! (well, I did anyway..but what the heck)

Tuna Pasta Bake
Small tin tuna
Small tin sweetcorn
Packet of crisps
Parmesan or cheddar or mozzarella
Packet of Colmans Tuna Pasta Bake mix.
Boil pasta.
Make sauce.
Add sauce to pasta, tuna and sweetcorn.
Crush crisps, mix with parmesan or grated cheddar or mozzarella and sprinkle over top of bake.
Bung under hot grill till browned on top and all nicely bubbly (this is according to the packet - to my mind, it makes far more sense to stick it in the oven at gas mark 7 for ten to fifteen minutes).
Serve with crusty bread or garlic bread (that garlic bread srom Sainsbury's that you pull apart is very nice - other supermarkets may do similar) and a nice green salad, maybe a spot of caesar salad too.

Loads - but I'll need some guidance as to your likes and dislikes, maybe number of people involved and as Mel mentioned, how much time you want spend on it. One, maybe two, less than half an hour. Before anyone accuses me of plagiarism, I was doing this while Jamie Oliver was still in nappies. The only real work involved is peeling the veg. Buy some decent chops (pork or lamb) and place on baking tray. Get a mix of sweet potato, butternut squash, parsnip and any similar type veg. Peel and cut into chunks. Place on baking tray with chops (timings may vary depending on thickness of chops), drizzle with oil and add loads of fresh herbs (lemon thyme is great with it). Bake till ready and serve with a full-bodied red. Sorry it was late for last night. I was busy cooking.

Chicken & Broccoli Bake
chicken breasts diced or cut into strips button mushrooms Broccoli florets tin of campbells condensed mushroom or chicken soup (works just as well with 99% fat free version for the health conscious) 5fl oz dbl cream or elmlea (again, 1/2 fat works well) tsp curry powder breadcrumbs
sauté chicken till "sealed" sauté mushrooms place chicken, broccoli florets (small ones) and mushrooms into ovenproof dish
mix together soup, cream and curry powder pour mixture over chicken etc sprinkle breadcrumbs over top
bung in oven at 180c for half hour
serve with salad and crusty bread, or rice

For Veggie alternative, put chopped peppers, cauli, broccoli, and mushrooms into pan (or whatever veggies you prefer)... use tomato, mushroom, or red pepper soup

..anyone got a nice recipe for a quiet Saturday night in? I mean a meal for a quiet night in, I know how to have a quiet night in I don't need a recipe for that. Larks tongues in aspic is quite easy.
