Further to the comment that Bovril is now vegetarian...
I found an unopened jar of Bovril in our pantry which has 40% beef stock. Best before Sep 2003.
It tastes fine.
*sits back and waits for the rush*

After the thread about marmite and bovril, etc etc......I went out yesterday and bought a jar of marmite...haven't had it for years and, being a bloke, I put loads onto the sandwich.........cos I'm wellard...... Yeeeeeeuch! it was revolting! after one bite, I chucked it away. Today, I had another one (determined to eat it all) but just put a small amount on....... God it was luuuuuuurvley (like me, really) Will get round to the bovril in, I estimate, about 2010...........will give you a full report when it happens...........................

How "toggy" of everyone not to pick up on the fact that it is more than 2 years out of date.
