I decided to make a very basic spag bog last night. I put the minced beef into the pan, and realised that there was quite a lot of it. Still, not to be deterred, I cooked it and then added a jar of sauce. This was fine and things were going well. However, we were now up to the very edges of the pan. Okay, so I spilt a bit over the sides, but I still continued with it...no going back now, I thought! I left this to look after itself. Meanwhile, I boiled a wadge of spaghetti and got it just right. I decided, as this was all going on, to drop into the CR. This was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I had put a plate on the back of the cooker, with a view to covering the spaghetti when it was done. Unfortunately, I had turned the beef off and turned on the rear ring. Needless to say, there was an almighty big bang and shattering sound. I went to the kitchen to find bits of croc plate all over the place. The minced beef had spilt over the pan and was causing a tidal wave over the cooker, and the spaghetti was positivley wet and slimy. The plate had turned into its natural elements and the cooker was orange coloured. I think perhaps next time, I shall turn the computer off and devote my whole to the task in hand......

A cousin of mine did similar one Christmas after deciding it would be a good idea to make gravy in a pyrex dish over a gas ring.
She was finding gritty gravy bits all over the kitchen well into the New Year.

I have been informed that any similarity between myself and nature, is entirely co-incidental.. And as for holding it against me.. If it's optional, I'd rather not..

I had family round, plus then fiance and was very proud of my curry making skills up until then. What worries me is that they ate it. It was vile.

(Not that I have any experience of that) You get to do all the chatting and pouring while someone else cooks delicious food. Can't beat it. XX FLY
