I have a gardenia, in the house which I have just repotted, and its got 2 flowers on it at the moment and smells divine! my question is do I need to do anything to keep it happy ? I feed it baby bio sometimes, some of the leaves are dark green as I think they are supposed to be, but some of them are going paler, and I was told that Epsom Salts stops the leaves from going too light a green ? is there any truth to the rumour ? any help gratefully received thanks mon xx

It could indeed be overwatering, but it could also be chlorosis. I would suggest getting a food specifically for gardenias. I don't know about the use of epsom salts - chorosis is most often caused by a lack of iron and epsom salts are magnesium sulphate, so they may not be appropriate, although chlorosis can also be cause by a magnesium deficiency. This site covers the different sorts of chlorosis and may be enough for you to tell what is lacking for your plant. But, since you're feeding it little but often, the overwatering suggestion shouldn't be dismissed.
