Not really a gardener or photographer, but thought you may like to see this - a scented viola (I didn't know there were scented ones) called Etain. I've hung it just by the shed door so I can smell it everytime I go there.

Same colour as Ava's eyes - nicely focussed and lovely flowers. I told Tiglet she could get started on the hanging baskets. PS - I (thought by the title) it meant that Ava clung to walls and could be a bit of a nuisance.

How lovely Ava. Talking of scented, did ya know that the very little, white cyclamens smell?

What a gorgeous picture Ava. I've grown that one and I agree with you. It is not only very pretty but have a lovely scent. There are some very nice violas and they are easy to grow - but I don't seem to be able to keep them for very many years.

Ava, all of these Clematis are scented: C. armandii & types x Aromatica x bonstedii 'Crépuscule' c. connata C. flammula C. heracleifolia C. integrifolia & types C. montana & types (some of them, not all) C. recta C. rehderiana C. songarica var. songarica There are almost certainly others too. My favourite is C. armandii and it does have little white flowers, followed by lovely fluffy seed capsules.
The violas are lovely - why not collect the seed and see what grows from them? Most will be more or less identical, but there may be the odd lovely sport lurking in there.

Yes, and C. amandii blooms very early in the year too.
