We have been relegated to the Second Division!
And 'hobby'? That's what small boys have, and involves staring at trains and sticking things in albums.
Sophisticated, urbane, men-of-the-world such as what I am don't have 'hobbies'.

Is 'Special Interests' any better? I can't help feeling that there is something not quite right about that. But I can't get a firm grip on it.

Traditional pursuits, Lord L? There are things that are traditional in my family that should not be bruited in front of the lower orders.

How about 'Leisure interests'? Don't talk to me about "Leisure", wummin, I've just spent the last hour turning the compost heap (it was positively HEAVING with worms - a vast number of which have joined their long lost brothers in the wormery) and my back is killing me ... mind you, it did get me out of helping prepare the lunch *sniggers* ;D

Don't you? Ringworm was only commenting to me the other day how you still ride your hobby horse when you think no-one is watching. He was also complaining that you still insist that the carrots and dung are the horse's.

Oh come on, I have it on the good authority of the News of the World that your collection of cornflakes is a model of good practise in the no two are alike, but they can be subdivided into hundreds of groups, genera and species using basic morphological taxonomy. Are the rumours correct that you actually had two that were identical, so you gave one to Ringworm for his breakfast? Hardly the behaviour of a gentleman, what?

A brave move indeed. Do you have examples of the common rootstock, or will it have to be defined by analysis of living and recently expired DNA?
