I have spent the afternoon moving my cucumbers and chillies. I finally ran out of pots and have put the last three cucumbers and the last three chillies in a grow bag in the greenhouse. Is there any reason why this should not be done or will they be okay? Thanks.

Up here there's no choice - they have to be grown in the greenhouse to survive long enough to get any fruit. I've mixed all sorts of stuff in grobags and never had any problems.

Brilliant, thank you ladies, it's reassuring and it means I don't have to go and buy new pots today!

My daft mother in law insists that you can't put more than one cucumber plant in a green house because they fight with each other......I've sat in the green house for hours and never so much as an antagonistic glance has passed between them!
If you sink a couple of 5" flower pots into the compost in the growbag you just fill them with water every day, this avoids over watering the growbag - in very hot weather fill them more often

*opens book on ensuing battle between the half dozen or so cucumbers I have* I wonder if the peppers, chillies and tomatoes will get involved, ready made salad!

PMLL bought a load of that wavy lawn edging and cuts it up and makes circles round the runner beans for the same reason...the water goes where it's supposed to go.
