I was just going out to the supermarket when I spotted my red Oriental poppy shining out in the dullness of the morning. Sadly my camera doesn't seem to catch the brightness of these blooms but here's a little idea of what they look like just now.

Looking good Rev - mine aren't out yet, but in this chilly wind, I wouldn't be either!

I had forgotten but last year PMR tooks some of the seeds from this bright red poppy and gave them to one of her colleagues.
I'm told that they have grown and have just produced beautiful flowers. This means they have come true from the seed (which, as you know, doesn't always happen with flower seeds).
So, if anyone wants some seed please pm me and I'l gladly post you some when they are ripe. It looks as though there will be a huge number of seeds available this year - free to any tog (or anyone else that would like them).
Gardeners are sharing people; that's one of the things I like about this hobby.
