They're all good books, but I had to do 1984 for O grade English some twenty years ago and haven't had the stomach for it since!
Cider with Rosie is one I could definitely re-read, but I think the Box of Delights is one of the most gorgeous books I have ever read and would love to read it as an adult and dissect it.

I have read 1984 and Cider with Rosie, but not Box of Delights, so something new will be good. I don't mind reading Cider with Rosie again, but if the vote goes for 1984, I will give it a miss this time. I found it too depressing.

I read the Box of Delights when I was 12 for school and loved it so much so that I used to get into trouble for reading it too much and getting way ahead of the rest of the class.
I have never read Cider with Rosie so like Shem would like something new. Shame its not the same new!!
Give anything a go once!!

Have read both 1984 and Cider with Rosie but not The Box of Delights - so think I might have to go for that one - next to find a copy!
