I have just finished 'the Book With No Name', by Anonymous.
If you've ever seen From Dusk til Dawn, it is somewhat like in that in nature, only far, far better. It also has shades of El Mariachi (re-filmed in English as Desperado).
It is pretty well-written, suspense-filled, gory in places and has a most fantastic twist in the tale!
This is a short summary from the blurb on the rear:
"An untitled book by an anonymous author brings death to anyone who reads it.
'The Eye of the Moon - a mysterious blue stone - has gone missing.
And in Santa Mondega, all hell is about to break loose. Literally.
Sanchez the bartender, El Santino the crime boss, several bounty hunters and a hitman dressed as Elvis, two hard-as-nails monks, a detective from the Department of Supernatural Investigations, a retired cop who can't let go, a bare-knuckle fighter on a chopped Harley, and a whole bunch of low-lifes are going to meet on the violent streets of Santa Mondega. A total eclipse will soon cast the town into darkness, and it's gonna get sanguineous. Because let's not forget the Bourbon Kid...
Tarantino meets the Da Vinci Code in this originally self-published Internet sensation. Remember: everyone who reads the Book With No Name is murdered. The only way to find out why is to read it yourself..."

Any of the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child, 'sex on legs', he's gorgeous, the books are a spanking good read!

I'm reading 'Cold Moon', the latest Jeffrey Deaver book at the moment. Another Lincoln Rhyme story - I do like those!

Jeffery Deaver's collections of short stories 'Twisted' and 'More Twisted' are very good too.

I love JD too, can't get enough of him.
Just finished 'The Sleeping Doll' the first book with Kathryn Dance, the kinesics expert, as the main character...(she first appeared in 'the Cold Moon')... great

I read a couple of Jeffrey Deaver books some years back, and remember thoroughly enjoying them. I tend to read more fact than fiction, but JD will definitely get another read when I'm in a novel frame of mind.
