For anyone who loves birds of prey & lives (or is visiting) in/near Hampshire, visit the Hawk Conservancy at Andover - just off the A303. It is a wonderful day out with 3 different flying displays - Usually around 11.30, 2.30 and 3.30 (but best to confirm on the day). The middle display includes flying in Bald Headed Eagles from way in the distance, back to the falconers. The flight is set to classical music and is very moving. There is loads to do there apart from the flying displays and the falconers are all so knowledgeable and caring. Take a picnic - there are some beautiful spots to eat it, including a beautiful wild meadow. (But if you can't be bothered there's a decent coffee shop too). Fantastic day out for children & adults alike. We try to go at least once a year. Website = www.hawk-conservancy.org

Been there on a number of occasions - fully agree with everything DG has said. The flight of the eagles is spectacular - they come in from over a mile away!

And if you're over East Anglia way there's Stonham Barns Birds of Prey Centre (with Redwings Horse Sanctuary on the same site) in Suffolk and Banham Zoo in Norfolk. Each have great flying displays and are worth a look (though the seals, meerkats and Tamarins are the best at Banham!)
