Here at Whitby Towers we're eating loads of "bung it in the oven while we're out walking the dogs" meals.
I've managed to rustle up some fairly tasty casseroles and pasta bakes which I'm quite pleased about considering my kitchen phobia.
But ... despite wanting it for my dishes, there has been a complete lack of celeriac in my local supermarket lately. I'm surprised because 'winter', 'casserole' and 'root vegetables' all fit together in my mind.
Is celeriac actually out of season at the moment or is this simply a supply issue specific to my nearest Sains...(other supermarkets, &etc...)?

Celeriac is in season from October through to the begining of March according to THIS website

I suspect it's a supply problem Whitby.
I had some at the weekend - it's yummy sliced and layered with potatoes and/or onions and cheese with a good dash of cream and garlic and baked.

I got one today - no turkey or parsnips mind, but at least I can have a dollop of cereriac mash for my Christmas dinner!
