Just getting into "The Crystal Cave" by Mary Stewart - it's brilliant ! It's the first book in her trilogy about Merlin and King Arthur - pity the BBC writers didn't read these first It's ages since I've read a book that I can't to put down, but have to, because it's gone midnight and I have to get up in the morning! Now looking for the rest of the trilogy - "The Hollow Hills" & "The Last Enchantment" + "The Wicked Day" - think I've found them on eBid ;D

Have now copies of books mentioned above - finished "The Hollow Hills"last night. "The Wicked Day" is a follow-on to the Merlin trilogy. "Mordred, King Arthur's illegitimate son and nephew, has often been portrayed as a traitor who kills Arthur and causes the downfall of Arthur's kingdom. In The Wicked Day, her fourth volume on the King Arthur myth, Mary Stewart challenges readers to reconsider the character of Mordred and his role in Arthur's demise. " Plenty of copies on Amazon, but I bought mine on eBid.uk
