It has been a lovely sunny day today and at last the north facing garden is seeing some of it again. Even if the sun is out it doesn't get high enough in the winter.
I have 20 garlic growing away merrily and have dug over a patch for the 'jerseys' aka 'international kidney' spuds that are chitting away.
Have also sown some lettuce. It's good to be out there again and I'm sure I'll be busy over the next month or so sowing all my veggies.

Lily we were away last weekend but I have spent most of today digging, snipping, weeding, pond fossicking and all manner of other things and have thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful day!
Here's to many more!

We too have been up the garden centre, the desiree and epicure spuds are chitting, the rose has been planted. We are due some frost, so the daliahs holes have been dug but not planted. Tomorrow I will sort out the herb patch, the rosemary failed terribly last year, so with new drainage, we will see how the new plants go on.

I have a whole load of seeds to be planting, but haven't got around to it yet. I think I will try sowing them indoors and putting them in the warm beneath the radiators, in front of the big picture windows.
Today I planted primula, violas, some little plants with heads that look like pompoms before you snip the wool, crocus and some other stuff. I know, very exact of me...
There are two roses and a honeysuckle soaking in a bucket with three dahlia corms, ready for planting out tomorrow. They will probably go in the back garden, which gets the majority of the sun, along the left hand side by the wire fence. I might try and train the honeysuckle to grow in and around the fence, I think, provided our nice neighbour doesn't object.

We haven't " done " seeds for years, but before my delphinium died on me last year it did flower and I managed to save some seeds, which I've planted and have in a propagator on the windowsill....I've also got some pots with chilli pepper seeds in as T5 fancied them this year.

Just throw as many sorts in as you can also any rats that fall in are supposed to add body. Failing that you will need to chuck a chunk of pork in.
But seriously I think Glen made some last year and he still has his eyesight.

My front garden faces East, my back garden Due West, no matter where the sun shines, the compass is constant. The Green house faces south.

Well I sowed my carrots last month but so far only a few seedlings, the packet did say you could sow in Feb so I don't know what's going on. Have also planted to raspberry canes.
