Black builder's buckets 99p each
Flower containers from Morrissons 99p for 8
(The buckets are far more robust.)
And a brick thing the Ex had made, currently full of onions and tomatoes.
I'm dead chuffed with the produce and how simple it is to do.
All in 4 metres by 4 metres

Ta muchly, K xxx . Against fence some herby things, sage and oregano,
from bricky thing, left to right
Sprouts, cherry tomatoes , strawberries, courgettes, garlic onions, corriander (gone to seed but I eat em like sweeties) broad beans, and some more sprouts.
Out of shot some spuds . rocket, chillies and a jungle of tomatoes
The broad beans will be excellent with this weekend's shoulder of pork. Which will be followed by strawberries in greek yoghurt.
I may also pop a few of my cherries, currently pickling in vodka, on as garnish...

The shoulder of pork, from a proper local butcher (he lives next door), was moist with excellent crackling
The broad beans simply steamed.
Potatoes boiled with sprigs of mint and served with butter and chopped mint.
Courgette roasted with garlic and chillie oil. (had to use bought stuff cos my garlic and chillies not ready yet).
Beetroot. boiled, cooled and given a splash of vinegar. That was ever so sweet
Gravy made from the roasting tin in the usual manner with the addition of a dash of my special ingredient. Mathers Black Beer.
Found some local ice cream in the farm shop and had that with the strawberries and used a good yoghurt for the cream.
Washed it down with ale purchased that very afternoon from *here* .
The garlic wasn't uk grown (and I can't vouch for the odds and sods like oil and condiments) but everything else was, including the chillies.
I commend the black builder's bucket and local produce to the house.
