I need to shed a few (or 21 to be exact!!!) Does anyone fancy joining in me in aid of CiN? We could have a virtual "weigh" in each week on a Friday evening, perhaps? I fancy doing 21lb by the end of March. Be realistic with your weight loss and lets all encourage each other rather than berate each other!! Let me know who fancies a challenge - it can be a private thing - you don't have to out yourself or your weight!! I am standing forward! There - I feel thinner already!

Slow response from me on this, but my Doc's just told me I need to lose a lot of weight (I've put on nearly 1/2 a stone in the last 3 months which is not good). I need to work out targets, etc. but adding in raising money for CiN might add to the incentive.

Hey didn't Terry do this back in the 70s? Fight the Flab?
Would be no good for me - I'm too skinny as it is! ;D

Well I've started, now on day 3 and so far so good! I've got a starting weight of 121kg and will probably weigh in on a Monday morning as that's an easy time for me. My aim is to be below 100kg by the Convention - it's about 33 weeks so I think that's a reasonable first target. Not sure how best to sort out sponsorship (if anyone's prepared to do so anyway), but I'll happily sponsor others, and accept any sponsorship for me! I'd even volunteer to be weighed at the Convention! Glen

Tut... ok count me in. I will start next Monday. Yes, it has to be a Monday, everyone knows that!! Weigh in at the convention. Not sure how the sponsorship thing gets sorted out and maybe a £ for a lb is a bit much for the huge amount I intend to lose (cough) but would be willing to try and raise a bit for CIN of course x

Know what you mean Tigger. When I weighed myself this morning the scales first suggested I'd lost 6kg - in one week! They settled down at 119kg.

I have started badly, not making excuses but I am very low of mood just now, real problems in my life from boat batteries exploding to family stuff. I am trying hard to pick myself up but will admit to struggling, it is piling up on top of me. Diet next Monday? Yes, so long as I do not get yet another person letting me down with my boat stuff. Why are batteries so complex? That may be ever so slightly off topic, sorry x and well done with the weight loss x

It's not easy when things start piling up WW. I've been there before myself (it's partly how I got to the weight I am).
BTW if you need any direct advice re. boaty bits do PM me - if I don't know I'll almost certainly know someone who does.

Sorry I have been a bit zoned out! I too have had a wobble with the weight loss put am back on track. I will do a weigh in on Monday too! I will try and set up a Just Giving thing for CiN at the weekend and then we can badger peeps to sponsor or just post our own £'s when we've lost lbs!!! Hurrah! PS I am really in to soup at the moment and that is helping! Although I am quite windy!!!!

OK this is getting weird depending where in the house I place my fancy digital scales my weight can vary by 5lbs now! I tried the basic scales at the gym and they say I weigh half a stone less than I thought I did! ... I shall say I lost a pound this week and will leave it at that!

My scales (also fancy digital ones) wobbled about rather this morning, but settled at 117.7kg, so that's 3.3kg in 2 weeks. I'd almost rather it was a bit less than that, but I know it'll slow down soon.

Well I now can't decide if I'm losing weight quickly or my scales are lying!
Apparently another 1.6kg lost last week, although temptation is getting strong sometimes - I'm finding it very difficult to avoid having cheese & biscuits at supper time.
I've got a fasting blood test tomorrow then will see the doc in a couple of weeks, so hopefully it will all have been worth it.
