Stood in the pub yesterday with a group of mates when one of them decided to start showing off with his new top of the range Blackberry. After an hour of showing us its functions including exactly where we were stood, the walking time to the next pub, the temperature in New York and a video of him and his girlfriend; I pointed out that the capabilities of my very old size of a brick Nokia would shut him up. He disagreed and was promptly whacked over the head with said Nokia and was knocked out cold. Nokia 1 - Blackberry 0.

I just don't know if I want to stick to the Nokia phone or whether I should go blackberry or even touch screen. What is a girl to do? It will take me years to decide, and they keep bringing out new ones. tsk.

I have a Blackberry - and it only takes me about 30 minutes to send a text, and sometimes I've been able to make a phone call on it. I mainly have it to remind me when I should go to the dentist.
I only have it because it is a 'cast off' of my son's managing director.

I too am debating a new phone, as my contract is up before too long. Unfortunately the one I really want is not available on upgrade at the moment. I'll wait until the contract is actually up anyway and then phone Oraneg customer services - I got a much, much better deal that way last time than the computer was suggesting. The phone is about £450 retail, the computer was offering me it for £275 and I got it for £0! Anyway, as Hells says, there'll be a new one or three out by then. Having played a little with the Blackberries at work I'm not too keen on them - I find the keyboard is very fiddly, and we're having reliability problems. Glen (With apologies for being slightly serious on the Forum).

I say, I say, I say, what did one phone say to the other?
You're too young to be engaged!
Boom, boom.
Glen
(Does that help?)

Go into a phone shop and take a look at your short (or long) list and see which phone suits you best.

Can you make a phone call on a banana? Only if it really wants to visit, and has the taxi fare.

Why does a large button 'phone (for big fingers), which is only used to telephone people, because that is what 'phones are for, cost 10 times as much as a multi-function 'phone with buttons so small that only pixies and fairies can use them?
