Geordie gets a phone caal from his eldest lad on Christmas morning:
"Da! Wor lass has had the babby, an' it's a boy, an' we want ye ter choose the name!"
"Wey", says Geordie, "Aa'd like him to hev a propa Chrissmassy name. So ye shud caal him Harold."
"Divven't be daft, Da", says the son, "Harold's got nowt ter de wi' Christmas, man!"
"Course he has, son! Ha' ye forgetten the owld hymn... Hark the Harold Angels Sing?"

Ye'rve hord the one aboot the Geordie Scoot? Ye knaa, they used to gan aboot America scooting for injuns.
One day he comes rushing back to the captain, "Sor, sor, there's thoosands and thoosands of injuns ower that hill, all shooting and hollering and beating drums".
"Well done, laddy" replies the captain, "are they war drums?"
"Why naa man" says Geordie, "they're theirs!"
