Due to other commitments I've postponed this until Spring 2012. I'll confirm a date later! other details will remain the same.As promised, I intend to host a bash in the near future once I've got the house sorted out. Given the time to get everything sorted out properly, and to avoid the Convention, etc. I'm proposing the 8th of October, but this can be changed. Venue will be The Horseshoe, Overstone Road, Sywell, Northampton NN6 0AW. There's a bit more info here ClickyI propose meeting from lunchtime-ish and going on as long as people want, with visits at some point to the house if anyone really wants to see it (it's very close). I can provide a bit of accomodation probably, but unfortunately the pub itself doesn't do accomodation. There are options locally including here Clicky which isn't too expensive. It's only about 1/2 mile walk from the pub. There are also local B&Bs, etc. including this one Clicky which is a similar distance. Hope at least some of you can make it! Glen

Hi
I might be able to make this date. I am going on holiday on the 10th so it depends on how quickly I can pack on the Sunday. The B&B sounds good. Hope some other togs can make it!

Thanks for the replies but...
It's still on but I'm going to have to put the date back to November! I'll confirm ASAP what the new date is. Just found out there's something else on the original date.
It will be lovely to see you both though if you can manage the new date - will be nice to actually meet you Scrab (don't think we've met before have we?)

After some thought and consultation I've decided to put this off until the spring when hopefully we can sit outside the pub! I'll decide on a date after Christmas, but hope those who've expressed an interest can still come.

I've been wondering!
Most of Feb will be in Aus, then much of March will be recovering & catching up. April involves Easter & Rodley. I could go for May, especially with the later Bank Holiday being put back a week.
Would there be interest for either the 12th or 19th May? Details much as before, i.e. Bash will be at the Hoseshoe, Sywell, Northants.

I've finally settled on Saturday 19th May for this. All the details are as before, we'll meet at The Horseshoe, Overstone Road, Sywell, Northants NN6 0AW. We'll start at 1pm-ish and carry on until we get kicked out or no-one is left standing (whichever comes first). Sorry I can't put everyone up here, but there is accomodation available locally, and there are Premier Inns etc. at Kettering, Wellingborough and Northampton. Just about within walking distance are: www.aviatorhotel.co.uk/www.sywellgrange.co.uk/Everyone is welcome to come, food will be available at the pub for both lunch and evening if required. Glen

Are there loads of people coming Glen? I have just tried to get booked at Sywell Grange but it was full. They recommended the World's End but it was full too!! I have managed to get booked into the Sunley Conference Centre so please tell me that its not too far away.

I was going to book Sunley Conference Centre and then I noticed the Langham Hotel which is quite near to town. Is there much difference in distance between them and the Horseshoe pub? I'll put off booking until I hear from you.

Not sure if anyone else has booked anywhere, Helen! Sunley Management Centre is about 5 miles by road, the Langham is nearer the centre of town and is about 6 1/2 miles.
I can't really recommend anywhere much closer I'm afraid.

Final Call!
It's looking like another small Bash unfortunately but will go ahead. I'll be in the pub by 1 o'clock so hope to see a few people there.
If anyone is planning to come it would be useful to know in advance, but isn't essential.
