Breakdown
Out of the the pit of oblivion climb
into the the dark that is measured by time
day into night and night into day
but the mists of unreality stay
In my heart and my soul the darkest despair
I am crying and calling, is anyone there?
Minutes pass by into hours days and week
continually lost - eternally seek.
Wandering lost, alone and afraid
wishing that deep down in hell I had stayed
now veiled from family, friends and life,
the only soloution - to pick up the knife.
But death does not come in answer to prayer
suicide failed and I made aware
that whatever the fate and existence of man
life must be lived it's allotted span.
I fear not faith, my faith is strong
but the living of life goes on...on...ON

Breakthrough
On..on...on... my existance drear
the gentle voice is all I hear
"now you surely live in hell
but I promise you, you WILL get well"
The kind and gentle soft refrain
assuring me again, again...
That one day, some day I will free
from all my fears tormenting me
But I have built a box of stone
four walls in which I live alone
in which my mind can always stay
despite my moving far away
A refuge strong, dark as the night
even the windows I keep shut tight
but then this refuge can appear
a prison containing all I fear
I see the dark through window pane
in anguish seek my help again
His promise, there will be a light
a beacon flashing in the night
I seek his help and not in vain
a gentle voice, a soft refrain
comes o're the wires across the plains
and with me, constantly remains
until the dawn moves grey then light
the sun rise slowly into sight
the beauty beyond my window panes
my world awaiting but I in chains
The words again quite clearly sound
"Accept your life, you'll be unbound
again I say you WILL get well
you'll leave behind your chains in hell"
I fling the windows open wide
Oh the beauty of the world outside!
I turn and seeing wide my door
I leave my prison for evermore.

Thanks to those who helped, hope this helps those who NEED help but are afraid to ask
