A freak is what you call me Because I have limited sight Do you think I want to Live like this Well maybe I just might!
But how do you think You'd cope Walking in these shoes of mine Do you think you'd Be frightened Or would you simply Whinge and whine.
You may not see me stumble Or grope for what I need You probably think I'm Faking this And ignore my basic needs.
You never see the private me The one behind the door You never see me dropping things That I can't find no more.
I have to wait for sighted eyes To find these things for me So tell me how you'd cope With my disability.
You never see me cry You never see my pain That if darkness overcomes me I will never see again.
So next time you see someone And you think they are a freak Ask yourself this question Could you cope for just one week.
What limited sight I have As limited as it may be I thank the Lord Above I am as brave as I can be.
So take a closer look At the one you call a freak Take time to get to know them And listen when they speak.
We are all of us God's children No matter what colour or creed We should take the time to help Anyone who is in need.

i am a carer and if people would just see disabled persons as they would have others see themselves the world would be a far better place. well done territalks.
