Had this hanging around my head for ages - it's a bit sad so don't read it if you think it would affect you.
Little Molly Mistake Skipping home from school Missing all tha pavement's cracks And jumping in the pools
Holding onto Mummy's hand Traffic whistling by And little Molly Aeroplane Is learning how to fly
Flying to a distant place So far away from here Where there are no mucky pubs Selling Daddy mucky beer
Where there are no chemical works A magical warm land Where Mummy's face will never meet The back of Daddy's hand
* * * * *
Little Molly Mistake Is miles away today Teacher tries to speak to her But Molly can't hear what she says
All the other children laugh But Molly knows it's not funny When all you've got to dream about Is Daddy not hitting Mummy.

Hi Smoggie What a moving poem, I can identify with this I am not deaf but blind not throught the abuse but heredtary. I could not see the hands that thumped me but I certainly felt them. TT xxx
