This week the PMZ took a choir practice with Junior age children from the school next door to hers and asking the children their names, came across one pair of twins , Ebony and Ivory and one girl called Destiny who has a sister Eternity and a very unfortunate brother called Infinity. Should the parents be shot? and do any of you know any poor kids who will suffer cos their parents dont think when choosing names for them?

I have a Uni friend who - how should I put it - was rather keen to see some regime change north of the border. Her teenage tyg is called Libby but I do wonder how she will explain to any future party that she is actually called Liberty Caledonia X

A long, long time ago, when Herself was at primary school in deepest Dorset, she was friends with a girl named Tess. Not Tess as in short for Teresa, just Tess.
Mind you, Dorset, being Hardy country and all that, you'd expect, I suppose, to find girls called Tess.
Only not when her parents are Mr & Mrs Tickell.

I was in a well-known Supermarket not so long a go when a modern mother (dont ask me to expand on this) screeched YOOOOOOOOOOFEEEEEEEEEEEEEMYA at her horrrid offspring who was just about to scoff the second handful of pick n' mix dolly mixtures from the display. It took me a moment to work it out, but believe the child's name was Euphemia. I bet the vicar winced.

The lady who ran the youth club was also called Euphemia but we called her Fay
