As our local post office can't cope with the volume of CiN calendars we send out, I have an arrangement with the Sorting Office to take them there, ready stamped of course, and they keep me supplied with mail bags. Some of the bags are quite 'well used'and need straightening out somewhat before I can use them. As I was doing this earlier, I found a package in one of them. It was obviously some sort of 'sample' that someone was sending to a Health Lab. Goodness knows how long it had been in there! I've re-posted it - not that it'll be much use now, I shouldn't think!

I sent a birthday card to a togs son 1st class last Thursday, he received it yesterday........ and they live only about 7 miles away from me, would have been quicker 100 years ago by horse and cart

In contrast, my parents took an aged friend out for the day (that lovely day at the end of October), arriving home around 4.30pm.
Win wrote a thankyou card, hopped on her late hubby's motorised cart thingie, and caught the last post.
Mum and dad received the card first thing the next day.

i,ve just had a letter with a penny red stamp on it.
but dont blame the ordinary postal workers,..they all work hard enough for peanuts..anyone involved will tell you that...blame the fat pussys at the helm, the real work is done by the thin cats and they are always blamed for any problems!

See how far you can take a letter yourself, for 30p.

I worked for Royal mail and mail not tipped from bags is so common it's just routine!
I was involved in major change refit in one office and as we moved some furniture we found some 7 year old mail!
'Think of a letter' you'll never see it, but think of it anyway!

(In the spirit of Danno) See how far you can take a letter yourself, for 30p. That doesn't excuse leaving post in the sacks though, does it? It could have been important - and probably was to the poorly person concerned.
