Dear sir or madam
I would like to apply for the job of manager in the local branch of your bank as advertised. As you can see from my resume I am fully qualified to do the job. My time working in a play group has given me certain attributes.
For example I can talk to people, young and old alike can’t I? Yes I can, I can! My paper work system is second to none. A B C and so on I find works exceptionally well. I also think my productivity is good, to get a group of 20 four year olds to complete a replica of the Bayeux tapestry in collage and oils was a feat in itself, but I managed it.
You may be concerned regarding my numeracy skills, working with the young, but there is no problem there: as I say to my children as long as you can add 1 to 1 and get 2 you are fine. I have never known why fractions and percentages were needed anyhow.
I have been looking for a challenge, and I feel banking would be a good move for me. It would give me the chance to prove to people that having a convict father is not a drawback; it was not his fault that the counterfeit money was found in his possession or that the ink was on his hands when he was caught. Life has been good to him since he did his time.
I have the full support of my husband in this venture. Since he went bankrupt he has been pushing me to get a more fulfilling job. When he went bankrupt he had tried to save the house by putting it in my name and transferring funds into another bank account, it was not found for a whole year he had covered his tracks so well.
I am free to interview when you need to see me, the playgroup has closed due to a minor malpractice order, apparently a child was left outside in a hail storm. I had called register to ensure we had them all in, but the local police sergeants child was still outside and the hillbilly child had answered for her.
I look forward to hearing from you
Yours truly,
Dear Sir
With regards to your letter stating that it was your bank dad had used for laundering the money, and also your bank that had to deal with my husbands bankruptcy and that the police sergeant is a close friend of yours I feel is very narrow minded. You obviously have not looked at my resume and accomplishments and your vacancy is probably already filled internally and therefore should not have been advertised so people like me could get our hopes up only to be dashed by your hypocrisy.
My overdraft will be moved to another bank straight away.
Regards,
