I have read this as a cure for ants before, as well as seeing it on here.
However, this presents a problem.
Does this method harm other wildlife?
Where the devil can I buy Borax?
I really, really need to get rid of the dozens of ants nests in my lawn as they are 'looking after' the wooly aphids residing and ruining my apple tree.

As was posted somewhere else, a suggested cure for ants in the garden is borax mixed with sugar. The sugar entices the ants to take the nasty stuff home with them and hey presto - no ants.
I couldn't find Borax so I thought I would give it a go with ordinary ant powder - it works!!!
I just mixed the powder and some sugar (more or less equal quantities) in a spare container and scattered it where it was needed - wearing gloves of course! So far so good - thought I'd let you know.
