Hi Everyone My Amaryllis (forgive spelling!) has started to produce a new leaf! Do I feed and water it now as I keep it indoors and it usually flowers around Christmas time. Any advice greatfully received. Thanks Love & Hugs TT xxxx

I would suggest that if it is producing a healthy new leaf that you water it until the leaves start to look rough. Sounds like it wants to feed its bulb.
Stop watering and give it a dry spell when the leaves show signs of dying down.
My amaryllis have had leaves since January and I'm expecting them to die down in late summer. Then I plan to stop watering until late DEcember

Hi Soup Thanks for your advice. This is a new leaf, as the plant has flowered and died. It seems to be starting up again! Love TT xxxx

One of mine did just that last summer and produced an unexpected flower in September. I blame Global Warming.

I gave my mum one of them years ago and after the first year of beautiful blooms all we got was leaves and no flowers it has now gone to the big flower garden in the sky.
