I know two people who have recently been bitten or stung by something whilst working in the garden. In both cases they have had to have time off work and one was admitted to hospital. So if you get bitten or stung and it starts swelling don't leave it, go to the docs.

I can vouch for that Paul.
PMS got stung by a wassup at the allotment on Saturday last week. It all seemed fairly innocuous until Sunday morning when his whole hand had swollen up.
Monday morning it was even worse - straight down the docs and on a two week course of biotics!

that's a good enough reason for me to delay the weeding and cuttin of the lawn. mind you its too wet anyway. noticed lots of little things near the birds table earlier, not sure if they were mozzies, but I didn't hang around to find out. Thanks for the warning. xx
