I see that Unwins are advertising Nemaslug Slug Killer. This stuff contains 'naturallly occurring microscopic nematodes that kill slugs both above and below the ground. Competely harmelss to birds, hedgehogs and other wildlife including pets and children.'
Is it worth giving it a try?

Hi Rev Mike Is this available in the shops or is 'Suttons' mail order? Anything is worth a try as the slugs have ruined nearly all my lillies and other plants and summer blulbs I know snails can be as bad. Love TT XXXX

I went to water my tomatoes tonight, and found the head of my red hot poker on the ground. something had eaten its stem. gutted. xx

Sarah - that will be snails... they just love red hot pokers... I have had the birds dive bombing them on mine... I thne go out and start throwing the snails onto the road. It seems to be much worse than usual this year.
