aubergine  Never thought it would flower let alone fruit, it's so cute (how sad am I?) now just have to guard it from those bloomin' slugs and snails. |

have you got any coffee grounds/tea leaves?
if so when they are cold sprinkle them around but not to close to the plant.
it'll shrivel them up and fertilise the soil.
failing that, i've got plenty of batteries if you fancy doing a jasper carrot!!

Kalimera Lemaine, (whoops nearly forgot this greeting can't upset Revmichael again)  Lots of gritty sand & gravel around them, slug pellets too...there is no room for sentiment here...our three potted aubergines grown in the plant wendy house produced four beautiful fruits weighing in at 2Kg (other units are available)  for recipe see mousaka...  Out on the patio aubergine...potential crop failure, not a fruit in sight this year.

have you not heard his sketch about the mole?
he sat up all night on a swivvel chair with a miners hat and a shotgun,
they even made a short film thing of it which was shown at xmas a few(!)
years ago.
was the funniest thing i've ever heard/seen.
