I'm so ashamed. I nearly killed my garden frog this week. Found him in the nick of time trapped in a large empty flower pot. He must have fallen in from the ivy above and couldn't climb out.
Instead of being green and shiny, he was dull, shrivelled and black. Still he wasn't quite dead, so I popped him in a shallow dish under Alchemilla mollis and watered him.
Glad to report that he's plumped up, turned green again and is now sitting beside his little dish of water. Phew! That's the last time I leave empty pots out in the garden.

Serves him right for climbing up Ivy - it is a wonder he did not suffer vertigo climbing that high.
