A friend of ours has one but we call it the Bog Brush plant!

Ouch! That photo brings back memories......as kids we used to use the branches with the hard seed pods on them as whips and chase each other round the garden. The resultant welts on the skin used to sting mercilessly in the bath at night!! ;D
