Today I went to the plot to do some planting and it was a learning experience.

First, don't buy rhubarb plants until you are certain that you don't already have some!
Secondly, weeds are growing when everything else is still dormant.
Thirdly, not everything needs planting at about an inch down and 6 inches apart. Apparently (he tells me afterwards) potatoes want to be at least six inches below the soil and about a foot apart.

Ah well, better luck next time.
