I have just finished a batch of golf related stories which I found quite amusing as they appealed to my sense of humour.
I recommend them to the golfing fraternity amongst us to tide them over until the better weather comes along.
They include:
Four Iron In The Soul - Lawrence Donegan ( his life as a tournament caddy)
Quiet Please - Lawrence Donegan ( his exploits as a marshall at the 2002 Ryder Cup )
Bring Me The Head Of Sergio Garcia - Tom Cox ( a year as a professional on one of the lower order professional tours )
One Hand On The Claret Jug - the stories of the "nearly men" of the Open Championship including Doug Sanders, Jean Van der Velde etc.
Any feedback would be most welcome....

I would also recommend 'Preferred Lies - a Journey to the Heart of Golf' by Andrew Greig.

Thanks Tarquin,
Haven't seen that one but will certainly have a look for it.
Keep swinging.

You life savers!! It's my uncle's 50th birthday next week, and I'm running out of ideas for presents. He lives and breathes golf, and I sincerely mean that. So any of these will make a great present. Thank you!
