Today Mrs Thrush was not on her nest. When I entered the plot I discovered that the main nest on the floor of the greenhouse and three chicks (in various states of dismemberment) dead on the ground.
I love cats, normally, but it seems that one of the feline species has attacked the nest. Being at head height in a greenhouse full of shelves, the nest would not have posed a huge problem for any cat.
Ah well, next year perhaps.
