This year I have developed frondy green stuff in my pond and it is wrapping itself round everything - what is it? Help!

Sorry but as Whitby would probably tell you the only real way to get rid of it is to physically remove it, you can get chemical products to do it but to be honest they're not that great. Also do you have a pond filter with UV lamp?

I've got it in mine too I was a bit late in firing up the filter after its winter rest. But I have to be careful about removing it because I have newts in there and dont want to scoop them up with the weed.

I was told not bother switching off my filter as our winters are becoming so mild that there's no need to. I've had mine running all year, all I've done was replace the UV tube.
